The FZ-VDM551U is Panasonic’s OEM DVD Multi Drive designed for the Universal Bay on the Toughbook 55 Mk1 and Mk2. If your field work still involves disc-based software, diagnostics, or data, this is the clean solution — no external drives, no extra cables, just slide it into the bay and go.

Installation is straightforward and user-serviceable. If your unit has a blanking plate fitted, release the latch on the base of the unit, remove the blanking plate, and the drive slides straight in. No tools required.
