The Getac UX10 G1 is a fully rugged 10.1″ tablet built for professionals who need reliable, portable computing in tough environments. Same DNA as the G2 — IP65 sealed, drop rated to 1.8 metres, and built around a 1000 nit sunlight readable display — just running an 8th Gen Intel Core i5 rather than the newer 10th Gen platform.

If your work takes you into dusty workshops, outdoor job sites, or vehicles where a consumer tablet would last a week, this is the tier you need. If you’re mostly office-based with the odd site visit, it may be more than your job actually requires — and we’ll tell you that upfront.

Like the G2, an optional detachable keyboard turns it into a proper laptop-style workstation when you need it. When you don’t, it stays out of your way. The G1 uses the same keyboard and battery system as the G2, so the form factor and day-to-day usability are identical.

G1 vs G2 — Which One Do You Need?

The G1 and G2 are the same tablet in all the ways that matter for most field work — same display, same rugged build, same form factor, same battery and keyboard system. The G2 brings a newer 10th Gen processor, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth 5.1. If you’re running modern wireless infrastructure or need the extra CPU headroom for heavier software, the G2 is worth the step up. If you’re running standard applications on a standard network, the G1 will do the job and cost you less.

A Note on Configuration

The UX10 G1 is a highly configurable platform. Depending on the lot we’re processing, individual units may include extras such as a barcode reader, smart card reader, or serial port fitted to the expansion slot. These cannot be guaranteed across every unit we stock.
