Panasonic Toughbook FZG2 MK2 - Core i5

Product Description

Panasonic Toughbook FZ-G2 MK2 Core i5: Fully Rugged 10.1″ Tablet for Australian Field Work

The Toughbook FZ-G2 MK2 is the second generation of Panasonic’s G2 platform, the rugged tablet line that replaced both the Toughpad FZ-G1 and the CF-20. It keeps the compact, fully rugged 10.1″ body that field teams across Australia already trust, and moves to a 12th Gen Intel Core i5 processor with 10 cores for a clear lift in everyday speed.

If you’re comparing rugged tablets in Australia, the MK2 sits in a practical spot: newer internals than the MK1, the same form factor and G2 accessory range, and refurbished pricing that makes rolling out a fleet realistic.

Best Suited For

• Surveyors and site engineers: light enough to carry in one hand all day, with a 1000 nit display you can read in full sun and a touchscreen that works with gloves on. Capture data and sign off forms on the spot instead of back at the ute.
• Inspectors and asset managers: councils, utilities and infrastructure teams logging defects, taking photos and syncing results back to the office from the field.
• Mining and heavy industry: pre-starts, maintenance reports and shift handovers in dusty, high-vibration environments. IP65 sealing means dust and water stay out of the unit.
• Emergency services and defence: where a semi-rugged or consumer tablet isn’t an option, the G2’s fully rugged build and independent testing give you a device you can depend on.

Key Features

• 12th Gen Intel Core i5 with 10 cores: a big step up from the MK1’s 4-core 10th Gen chip. Large forms, mapping apps and several programs open at once all run noticeably smoother.
• Choose 8GB or 16GB memory: memory is built onto the board, so pick the configuration that suits your work at checkout. 8GB covers forms, inspections and email; 16GB is the better fit if you run heavier software or keep a lot open.
• 1000 nit sunlight-readable display: the 10.1″ WUXGA screen stays clear outdoors, with glove-mode and rain-mode touch plus a digitiser for stylus input.
• Thunderbolt 4 USB-C: connect external displays, docks and fast storage through a single port when you’re back at the vehicle or office.
• Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.1: faster, more stable wireless on busy site networks, with optional 4G LTE for working away from Wi-Fi.
• Tablet first, laptop when you need it: use it as a standalone rugged tablet in the field, or add the optional detachable keyboard for longer typing sessions.
• Modular expansion: the G2 supports optional add-ons such as barcode readers, smart card readers, thermal cameras and extra ports. These aren’t included as standard, so contact us if you need a specific module and we’ll look at sourcing it.

Why Buy a Refurbished Toughbook from RevivedIT?

• Properly refurbished: every unit is inspected, cleaned and tested by our in-house team in Adelaide. Hardware with cracks, dents or heavy wear doesn’t make it onto our shelves.
• Rugged is all we do: Panasonic Toughbook, Dell Rugged and Getac. We specialise in refurbished rugged hardware and nothing else.
• Warranty options: 6-month RTB warranty as standard, with upgrades to 12 or 24 months available.
• Talk to someone who knows the gear: our Adelaide team has worked on hundreds of these units. If you’re unsure which configuration suits your work, give us a call.

Product Note: Battery Options

This variant ships with a used tested 50Wh standard battery. If you prefer a new battery, you can select either a new 50Wh standard or new 68Wh extended battery at checkout. Selecting an upgrade replaces the included battery, you don’t receive both. The 68Wh extended battery provides significantly longer runtime for full-day field operations without access to power.
